Return Eligibility

Sample dresses are expected to be returned within the expected return window, 7 days after receipt. Please see below for more information on sample rentals.

OUR MADE-TO-ORDER DRESSES ARE CUT TO ORDER WITH METICULOUS ATTENTION TO DETAIL. DUE TO THIS, WE DO ACCEPT MADE-TO-ORDER DRESS RETURNS BUT THEY MUST BE POSTMARKED WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS OF THE RECEIPT OF YOUR DRESS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A RETURN. THE DRESS MUST REMAIN UNWORN, UNALTERED AND WITH TAGS STILL ATTACHED FOR US TO ACCEPT YOUR RETURN. WE WILL THEN PROCESS IT SUCCESSFULLY IF YOU MEET ALL OF THE GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA. YOU WILL THEN BE REFUNDED THE TOTAL AMOUNT MINUS A $25 RESTOCKING/CANCELLATION FEE PER DRESS RETURNED FOR THE TIME AND EFFORT THAT WENT INTO YOUR DRESS. THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SHIPPING OF THE MADE-TO-ORDER DRESS BACK TO US AND POSTMARKED TO:

Swatches are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds.

Sample Rentals

Our policy for sample rentals lasts 20 days. If more than 20 days have gone by since your purchase, we reserve the right to charge a disciplinary fee that is twice the value of the custom dress list price. This fee can be charged if you do not return the sample or if there is damage to the sample beyond normal wear and tear expectations.

The sample should be shipped with a return label included. If you do not see a return label or if you have misplaced the label, please reach out to customer service at [email protected] with the order number in the email title.

You should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for return processing may vary.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.

If a sample dress is damaged we will assess the nature of the damage and determine the charge for the dress. A charge could take place for the following: dry cleaning, seamstress work, or a full replacement of the sample dress.

Cancellations and Exchanges

MADE-TO-ORDER DRESSES CAN BE CANCELLED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF ORDER PLACEMENT. SAMPLE AND SWATCH ORDERS CAN BE CANCELLED WITHIN ONE HOUR OF ORDER PLACEMENT.

You can cancel in My Account if you checked out using your Evening Collective account. You can cancel within the cancellation window by emailing [email protected] with the words "CANCELLATION REQUEST: ORDER NUMBER" in the email title.

We do not currently accept exchanges. You can cancel your existing order and place a new order if you would like to change the order.


Price Adjustments

Unfortunately Evening Collective does not provide price adjustments on prior purchases.
